In Memory of
Cheryl Miller
December 16, 1954 - July 23, 2023
It is with great sorrow that the Miller Family announces the passing of our loving, kind, and unbelievably thoughtful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Cheryl Ann Miller of Cape Coral, Florida.
Cheryl passed away at the young age of 68 in her home on July 23, 2023. She was born December 16, 1954 in Appleton, Wisconsin to Leo Lawrence and Mabel Mary Lappen.
Cheryl, a Christian woman who valued family above all else, will forever be remembered and cherished by her loving husband of 44 years, Marc Miller of Cape Coral, FL; her son Jeff Miller of Cape Coral, FL, and his daughters: Amelia and Colette, and her daughter Julie Gaster of Naperville, IL (Jordan) and her two daughters: Adalynn and Avrynn. She will also be remembered by her sister, Debbie Brandt (Keith) of Freedom, Wisconsin and her numerous other family members and friends.
Cheryl will be remembered as someone who had a great sense of humor—quick-witted with a great laugh. Her ability to recall an off-hand comment and turn it into an incredibly thoughtful gift was her love-language. She was immensely talented in many forms of crafting—spending countless hours creating costumes, dresses, outfits, blankets, and anything else her creative mind could conjure. She enjoyed crochet, quilling, card-making, and scrapbooking and doing all of these things with her granddaughters who loved spending this special time doing crafts with Grandma.
Though her life-long dream was to be a back up singer for Roy Orbison, she spent the majority of her working life as a bank teller, a job she really enjoyed because she was great with people. Undoubtedly, her greatest accomplishment in life was being a thoughtful wife, loving mother, and caring grandmother.
Though we are sad to lose Cheryl, we are certain she is happy to be reunited with her parents, Leo and Mabel Lappen, and her two brothers Ray Lappen and Mark Lappen who have all been awaiting her arrival in Heaven.
